The Ogden Nature Center offers community programs designed to connect people of all ages to the natural world. No matter what your interest, we have a class you will enjoy. Give your students the wonderful opportunity to get outside the classroom walls this year and make connections with the natural world. The Ogden Nature Center's 152-acre preserve offers an accessible, diverse landscape where students can explore plants, animals, soil, water, seasons and more throughout the school year.
Our nature education programs correlate to the Utah State Core Curriculum standards and are taught by professional teacher naturalists educated in conservation biology, botany, ornithology, child development, elementary education and/or natural sciences.

The Ogden Nature Center provides the perfect outdoor classroom for scout activities. To enjoy scouting at the Nature Center, there are three options:
Lead your own activities and pay regular admission of $3.00 per child and $5.00 per adult. No reservation needed! We have activity backpacks available for check-out at the front desk. This service is free with paid admission.
Have our teacher/naturalists help your scout pass off badge requirements for $5.00 per scout/ 45 minute class on Scout Saturdays at the nature center. Reservation and a non-refundable deposit required.
Private 45 minute tours/classes can be pre-arranged through the education department by calling 801-621-7595. These classes are the same classes offered during scout saturday programs. Private classes/tours are only available during the week between 3 and 5pm. All private tours/classes must finish by 5:00pm. There is a minumum requirement of 10 students and the cost is $10 per scout. 1 adult scout leader per group can attend for free, and all other participants pay general admission rates.

For the 2016 year, the Ogden Nature Center is offering a large selection of nature camps specifically designed for ages 2 all the way through 16! Choose a theme that best suites your child. We have week-long day camps -- some with an overnighter under the stars, partial-day adventures, camps for the littles in your life, and a family campout so you can come with!
