Birthday Parties

Is your child a nature lover or animal lover?  The Ogden Nature Center offers Birthday Parties!

Parties at the Nature Center include:

Walk with a Naturalist

An Ogden Nature Center naturalist will lead the group on a walk at the nature preserve. This could be a walk to visit our resident birds of prey, a walk to Avocet Tower, around Arrowhead or Teal Pond, a walk to the mouse hole, or any other walk you would like.

Animal Presentation (choose one of the following)

  • Snake Presentation: We will get one of our resident snakes out of its cage so party goers can learn about Gopher Snakes or California King Snakes.
  • Tortoise Presentation: Rex or Laser, our resident Desert Tortoises, will join us for hands-on learning about this desert species.
  • Bird Presentation: Meet one of our resident birds of prey and learn about their characteristics and habitat. Additional charge of $25

Party Favors (choose one of the following)

  • Rubber snake and ONC pencil
  • Bug box and ONC pencil
  • Miniature stuffed animal and ONC pencil

Cost

  • Members: $75 for up to 10 children
  • Non-members: $80 for up to 10 children
  • $5 for each additional child
  • Deposit of $25 is required to reserve a time.
  • Indoor parties are $25 extra

This reserves the party area for 2 hours. The naturalist will spend the first 45 minutes to an hour with you and then you are welcome to enjoy the Nature Center on your own.

Please bring your own treats, decorations etc. and be prepared to gather your trash and take it away at the end of the event.  The Nature Center's garbage cans are very limited.

To make a reservation, please contact a teacher naturalist.

Did You Know?

The earth’s largest living organism is an aspen clone, living right here in Utah’s Wasatch Mountains. With 47,000 stems of genetically identical trees, it weighs 6,500 tons (that’s about as heavy as 70 adult blue whales)!
