Ogden Nature Center

Welcome to the Ogden Nature Center

Located in the heart of Ogden, you'll find a 152-acre nature preserve open to the public year-round. Visitors enjoy picnic areas & tree houses, wander the trails and meet birds of prey. Two green buildings are on site to teach about sustainable structures. Children love to play with hands-on nature exhibits, meet native animal species and shop in the gift store.

The Ogden Nature Center offers a wide variety of classes & workshops for all ages including art, photography, birding, wildlife in Utah, outdoor recreation, conservation, sustainability, summer camps and more. The Nature Center is also home to a wild bird rehabilitation program.

Holiday Hours

While the Ogden Nature Center remains open year-round, we will be closed December 25 - January 4 for the Holidays.

Come see us before Christmas, or after the New Year.  Your senses will come alive at the Ogden Nature Center during the winter months.  Walking the trails to a melody of cracking and crunching sounds, the smell of the fresh winter air will fill your lungs and rejuvenate your body and mind.  Wild turkeys, deer and fox are leaving frosty tracks all over our 152-acre nature preserve. Dark-eyed Juncos, Black-capped Chickadees, Cedar Waxwings, and Spotted Towhees are back for the winter to delight bird watchers.  Meet live birds of prey such as eagles, owls and hawks who are housed in our mews. Bundle up the family, fill a thermos with hot chocolate and visit the Ogden Nature Center for fun, outdoor winter exploration.
