Nature Sightings

Sharing bird watching and other nature sightings help us understand the patterns of the wildlife around us. You can expect that our naturalist will be providing updates to the nature sightings at the Ogden Nature Center. You can also join us as a guest naturalist by submitting your nature sightings (see left).

Red Shouldered Hawk Sighting PDF Print E-mail

An immature  Red Shouldered Hawk has been sighted at the Ogden Nature Center since October.  A visitor just reported seeing it again a few days ago.

Lots of California Quail, White Crowned Sparrows, Black capped Chickadees, and Towhees are hanging out around the Visitor Center's bird feeders.

Visitors can also see the three wild turkeys that roam the grounds, along with lots of mule deer.
