Donations to Share in the Care support both our resident animals and the bird rehabilitation program. The birds of prey, tortoises, snakes and spiders that live at the Ogden Nature Center represent animal species native to the Great Basin region. All of the resident animals at the Nature Center have been permanently injured or imprinted, and cannot take care of themselves in the wild. These animals are on display at the Nature Center and are featured in education programs that teach about native species. The Ogden Nature Center holds state and national permits allowing us to keep these animals in our care. The Ogden Nature Center is home to a wild bird rehabilitation center. This program provides the general public with a place to bring sick or injured birds and fosters a connection to wildlife and the land. The Ogden Nature Center sees hundreds of birds in need of care each year, many of which require special veterinary attention or expensive surgery. Efforts to release a wild bird back to its natural habitat mitigate the effects of urban sprawl and give wild birds a second chance. Your support would help with:
