Volunteer

The Ogden Nature Center has volunteer opportunities for all ages and abilities.  Whether teaching a group of fourth graders about pond ecology or maintaining one of our many trails or gardens, over 600 people volunteer at the Ogden Nature Center annually.

Volunteers range in age from 6-94!  Opportunities include helping with bulk mailings, special events, education, facilities repair and much, much more!

There are also opportunities for group efforts.

To become a volunteer, simply fill out the Volunteer Application Form and attend a Volunteer Orientation Meeting -- held every Saturday at 1 p.m. in the Volunteer Room. The orientation will introduce you to the Ogden Nature Center and the many ways you can help. We'll also find a good fit for your talents, interests and schedule. Please note that young volunteers must be accompanied by an adult. If you want to schedule a group volunteer effort, please call 621-7595 or fill out the appropriate information for Group Volunteering on the form.

New Volunteer Opportunities

Front Desk Volunteer

We need a cheerful person to help our Visitor Services staff answer phones, keep the gift shop tidy, help with small clerical duties and more between the hours of 9 am & 5 pm Monday through Friday and 9 am - 4 pm on Saturdays.  A few hours on any of these days would help.  For more information contact Jenny Frame at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .

Education Volunteers

Help our teacher/naturalists conduct environmental education programs and camps for school-aged children. Lead groups, tell stories, teach fundamental science and more. Training will be provided at the beginning of each month. All you need is a love of the outdoors, children, and willingness to help in all weather conditions.

Volunteer Application

SUBMIT THE ONC VOLUNTEER APPLICATION FORM.
