Calling all photographers, artists, and poets!
We want to see the creativity of our guests combined with their love of nature. The winners of this contest will have their piece printed in the spring 2026 newsletter. All submissions will be displayed in the Education Building and will be available for a popular vote.

Guidelines:
- We will accept in person or mailed submissions. Submissions must be received by January 2nd and winners will be decided after a popular vote and judging round, 2 weeks after submission date.
- We will have 4 winners from the categories of: Youth (5-12 years old), Teen (13-19 years old), Adult (20-50 years old) and Senior (50+). Please note which category you’d like to submit your art for.
- Submissions accepted include photography, drawings/paintings, and poetry. The following criteria must be followed or the submission will not be included for judging: All must be nature-themed or related. Special attention will go to pieces that mention or reference Ogden Nature Center.
- Pieces must note on the back or on a separate paper: name, age, title of work and contact information (in the event of winning, we want to let you know!)
- Photography must be printed at home on 8.5 x 11 paper.
- Paintings and drawings must be 8.5 x 11 inches in dimension. Printed photographs or scans of the final piece are permitted.
- Poetry cannot exceed 26 lines (not including the title) and cannot exceed 55 characters per line. Final work must be on paper 8.5 x 11inches in dimension or smaller.
