Miscellaneous Information

Jade joined the Ogden Nature Center in 2025 as the Events Manager. She is passionate about environmental stewardship and loves sharing the Nature Center’s mission through exciting, thoughtful, and community-driven events.

A Utah native, Jade grew up exploring the state’s diverse landscapes, which sparked a deep appreciation for the natural world at a young age. Before joining the Nature Center, she served as one of two Events Managers at Tracy Aviary, where she honed her communication skills and found creative ways to inspire others to care about wildlife and the environment.

Outside of work, Jade enjoys spending time with her husband and their pets: George, a Brittany spaniel/Australian shepherd mix, and four beloved rats—Goose, Calcifer, Skeletor, and Sourdough. She’s also an avid camper and happiest when spending time outdoors.

Meet Our Animal Ambassadors

The Ogden Nature Center is home to over 20 Utah-native, non-releasable birds of prey and other animals such as snakes, salamanders, rabbits, and tortoises. These animals have been permanently injured or imprinted, and can no longer survive on their own in the wild. Today they serve as animal ambassadors at the Ogden Nature Center, helping teach our community about wildlife, ecosystems, and the importance of habitat.
