Miscellaneous Information

Miscellaneous Information

Parker completed his BA in Anthropology in 2022 at Weber State, then made a surprising pivot to working in agriculture. He was one of the first team members on Eden Streets and helped to develop and build the Grow Ogden farm. There he worked to help relaunch lives and provide community to the unsheltered and underserved in Ogden.

Parker is a born and raised Ogdenite who grew up exploring the wilderness and taking fieldtrips to the Nature Center. He’s always loved the Ogden community and its unique culture and now he serves that community by caring for the land and facilities of the Nature Center and allowing others to enjoy the same wilderness he’s come to know and love.

When Parker’s not fixing something or out in the garden you can find him hiking Ogden’s trails, camping, writing, or volunteering in the community.

Meet Our Animal Ambassadors

The Ogden Nature Center is home to over 20 Utah-native, non-releasable birds of prey and other animals such as snakes, salamanders, rabbits, and tortoises. These animals have been permanently injured or imprinted, and can no longer survive on their own in the wild. Today they serve as animal ambassadors at the Ogden Nature Center, helping teach our community about wildlife, ecosystems, and the importance of habitat.
