Golden hour, live music, a little competition, familiar faces, new connections, and one of the best settings in Ogden filled with people who genuinely want to be there.

Wildwoods BASH is an evening to experience the Ogden Nature Center after hours while supporting the education, conservation, wildlife care, and community connections that happen here all year long.

If you want the full BASH experience, come early. We have just 2.5 hours together, and the evening moves quickly once it begins. Golden hour, portraits, live music, bidding, dinner, and the program are all part of the night, so plan to arrive on time and take it all in.

Time What’s Happening

5:00 PM Early check-in opens for guests with portrait reservations

5:00–6:30 PM BASH Portraits with Nicolas Lazaroae – Portrait time-slot sign-ups will be emailed to registered guests the week of BASH.

5:30 PM General check-in opens

5:30–6:30 PM Live music by Hither, silent auction, drinks, and time to mingle, with emcees Alicia Washington and Casey Scott.

6:30 PM Guests seated for dinner and the evening program. Dinner catered by Union Grill.

6:45 PM Best of Live, followed by the Live Auction with Casey Scott.

Following Live Auction Fund-a-Need – This year’s Fund-a-Need will support the daily care of our animal ambassadors. Every donor will be recognized in our next printed newsletter.

8:00 PM BASH concludes

Golden Hour Portraits

BASH guests are invited to take home more than a memory from the evening.

Nationally recognized photographer Nicolas Ioan Lazaroae will create portraits set against the Ogden Nature Center landscape at golden hour. No step-and-repeat, just beautiful light, a beautiful place, and a photo worth keeping.

We hope your portrait becomes a reminder that your presence here matters and that your support is part of what makes this place possible.

Portrait sessions are a gift from Myers Mortuary. Time-slot sign-ups will be emailed to registered guests the week of BASH.

Live Music by Hither

Suzanne Kramer and Mark Jeffery of Hither first met as solo performers at an open mic in Fairfax, California. Now splitting their time between Ogden and San Francisco, they blend soulful harmonies, thoughtful songwriting, unique guitar tunings, and subtle percussion into a warm, intimate sound.

Their music is rooted in connection, community, and the beauty of everyday life, making Hither a perfect fit for an evening gathered beneath the trees at BASH.

Throughout the evening, students from Upward Bound will be volunteering alongside the Ogden Nature Center team to help make BASH possible. We are grateful to have these young community members lending their time and energy to the evening.

R.A.M.P. Summer Activity Schedule 2026

R.A.M.P. Summer Activities at Ogden Nature Center offer fun, accessible outdoor experiences for children, teens, and adults of all abilities. Through hands-on exploration, nature-based learning, and engaging group activities, participants connect with the natural world while building confidence, skills, and lasting memories in a supportive environment. 🌿

Ogden Nature Center will be offering FREE admission every Saturday (9:00 am – 4:00 pm) with naturalist-led nature crafts and animal encounters at 10:00 am and 2:00 pm.

June 6 – Pollinators “Blooms, Bees, and Butterflies” 
Education components – types of pollinators and why pollinators are important.  
Activity – plant a flower, flower scavenger hunt 

June 13 – Wetlands “What’s in the pond?” 
Education components – what is a wetland, why are wetlands important in Utah, animals and plants that live in a wetland.  
Activity –Pond Dipping 

June 20 – Amphibians “Amazing Amphibians” 
Education components – Characteristics of amphibians, Amphibians in Utah, toad or salamander presentation. 
Activity – frog puppet craft 

June 27 – Trees and Leaves “Brilliant Botany” 
Education components – Parts of a tree, what we get from trees, why trees are important.  
Activity – Leaf/ tree rubbings 

July 11 – Reptiles “Revealing Reptiles” 
Education components – characteristics of reptiles, reptiles in Utah. 
Activity – Snake presentation, snake craft   

July 18 – Deserts “Desert Discovery” 
Education components – what is a desert, deserts in Utah, plants and animals in deserts. 
Activity – Tortoise presentation, tortoise craft 

July 25 – Utah History (Pioneer Day) 
Education component – Utah history (ancient, pre statehood, and post statehood) 
Activity – Button spinner and pioneer games 

Aug 1 – Mammals “Marvelous Mammals” 
Education components – characteristics of mammals, different types of mammals. 
Activity – Rabbit presentation, rabbit craft   

Aug 8 – Invertebrates “Creepy Crawlies” 
Education components – characteristics of invertebrates, fun facts about arachnids, arthropods, gastropods, and other invertebrates. 
Activity - Tarantula presentation and bug catching 

Aug 15 – Fungi “Fantastic Fungi” 
Education components – what are fungi, types of fungi, how fungi help us and the ecosystem. 
Activity – Mushroom craft, game

Where Nature Becomes Art  

Free Family Fun at the Ogden Farmers Market 

Join the Ogden Nature Center every Saturday during the Ogden Farmers Market for a free, hands-on nature and art adventure designed for curious kids and families. 

Each week, children will explore a new nature theme through creative activities inspired by local wildlife, ecosystems, weather, pollinators, wetlands, birds, and more. Kids will create take-home art projects, contribute to a growing Community Nature Mural, and collect stamps in their very own Curiosity Passport all summer long. 

Whether your child loves bugs, birds, plants, or getting creative outdoors, Kids Curiosity Corner is the perfect place to learn, play, and connect with nature.

Kids can participate in the Nature Lover Challenge by collecting stamps in their Curiosity Passport each week at the market.
