Ethan Thomas

Ethan was born and raised in Orlando, Florida, where he received his BS in Environmental Studies at the University of Central Florida. He fell in love with environmental education while volunteering at a raptor rehabilitation center in Florida, where he found joy sharing the importance of birds of prey in local ecosystems. In January of 2026, he joined the Ogden Nature Center as one of the Education and Animal Care AmeriCorps interns, allowing him to follow this passion as part of his career.

Growing up in one of the flattest and warmest states, Ethan also developed a fascination with mountain ecosystems and snow science. No one gets more excited about shoveling snow than him. He is thrilled to be so close to the Wasatch and hopes to contribute to protecting the unique ecosystems of Northern Utah through education.

In his free time, Ethan enjoys knitting, wildlife photography, skiing, and hiking.
