About Us
Hailey Pranskaitis
Hailey was born and raised in Grand Rapids, Michigan. She graduated from Michigan Technological University with a bachelor's in Wildlife ecology and conservation in the spring of 25’. Throughout her undergraduate career, she has gained experience working in various field crews, collecting different types of ecological data. Working on a small mammal crew in Fairbanks, Alaska, helped deepen her passion for handling wildlife and conserving their native habitats. Now, Hailey is the habitat restoration intern here at the Ogden Nature Center.
She is passionate about restoring native ecosystems and maintaining stable wildlife populations across the landscape. Hailey's largest interest in the conservation realm is understanding predator-prey cycles and the importance of having pressure from apex predators. Hailey loves educating others on the importance of these predators and how the ecosystems would be disrupted without them. Outside of conservation, she loves going hiking, camping, swimming, and creating art.
Hailey has loved her time at the Nature center so far and cannot wait to work with more volunteers to help restore this beautiful habitat
