R.A.M.P. Summer Activities at Ogden Nature Center offer fun, accessible outdoor experiences for children, teens, and adults of all abilities. Through hands-on exploration, nature-based learning, and engaging group activities, participants connect with the natural world while building confidence, skills, and lasting memories in a supportive environment. 🌿
Ogden Nature Center will be offering FREE admission every Saturday (9:00 am – 4:00 pm) with naturalist-led nature crafts and animal encounters at 10:00 am and 2:00 pm.

Weekly Details
June 6 – Pollinators “Blooms, Bees, and Butterflies”
Education components – types of pollinators and why pollinators are important.
Activity – plant a flower, flower scavenger hunt
June 13 – Wetlands “What’s in the pond?”
Education components – what is a wetland, why are wetlands important in Utah, animals and plants that live in a wetland.
Activity –Pond Dipping
June 20 – Amphibians “Amazing Amphibians”
Education components – Characteristics of amphibians, Amphibians in Utah, toad or salamander presentation.
Activity – frog puppet craft
June 27 – Trees and Leaves “Brilliant Botany”
Education components – Parts of a tree, what we get from trees, why trees are important.
Activity – Leaf/ tree rubbings
July 11 – Reptiles “Revealing Reptiles”
Education components – characteristics of reptiles, reptiles in Utah.
Activity – Snake presentation, snake craft
July 18 – Deserts “Desert Discovery”
Education components – what is a desert, deserts in Utah, plants and animals in deserts.
Activity – Tortoise presentation, tortoise craft
July 25 – Utah History (Pioneer Day)
Education component – Utah history (ancient, pre statehood, and post statehood)
Activity – Button spinner and pioneer games
Aug 1 – Mammals “Marvelous Mammals”
Education components – characteristics of mammals, different types of mammals.
Activity – Rabbit presentation, rabbit craft
Aug 8 – Invertebrates “Creepy Crawlies”
Education components – characteristics of invertebrates, fun facts about arachnids, arthropods, gastropods, and other invertebrates.
Activity - Tarantula presentation and bug catching
Aug 15 – Fungi “Fantastic Fungi”
Education components – what are fungi, types of fungi, how fungi help us and the ecosystem.
Activity – Mushroom craft, game
Aug 22 – Birds “Beautiful Birds”
Education components – characteristics of a bird, types of birds Modified bird breakfast cafe, bird presentation
Aug 29 – Fall “Fall into Autumn”
Education components – changing seasons, what happens to plants and animals during the fall and winter.
